STA still without payment for public service
Ljubljana, 17 March - The management of the STA wishes to point out that STA has been performing public service from the beginning of the year wihtout receiveing payment from the Government of the Republic of Slovenia despite its obligation being set down in the seventh anti-corona legislative package (ZIUPOPDVE).
Since the beginning of the year, STA has been providing the full scope of public service as required by the Slovenian Press Agency Act.
So far, the agency has been covering the costs that it has incurred with the provision of public service with revenue generated on the market, but its position and existence are becoming increasingly perilous, a situation that comes in the year when the agency should celebrate its 30th anniversary.
Thank you for your confidence and support!
